What's in your Bucket list?

I'm sure you've heard it many times before and have been asked once or twice, "what's in your bucket list?"

Simply put, it is a list of things to do before one dies or "kicks the bucket." In 2007, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman starred in the movie, The Bucket List which had a huge success in the box office despite its mixed reviews from critics. Why? The answer is a real no-brainer---the movie is very relatable! The plot touches on the most basic of human aspirations: happiness and how it is achieved by fulfilling all desires and life-long wishes. Audiences fell for the thrill of racing against time (death) as the story revolved around the pursuit of a wish list of the two terminally ill characters. They did it all:

"Edward and Carter begin an around-the-world vacation. They go skydiving together, drive a Shelby Mustang, fly over the North Pole, eat dinner at Chevre d'Or in France, visit and praise the beauty and history of Taj Mahal, India, ride motorcycles on the Great Wall of China, attend a lion safari in Africa, and visit the base of Mt Everest in Nepal (which was unfortunately shrouded in cloud). Atop the Great Pyramid, looking out over the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, they confide about faith and family."

Yes, I do have one. Personally, it has breathe a new life in setting goals and taking charge of my life. It has given me renewed enthusiasm and energy. It’s like taking a photo of an already breathtaking destination but this time, in an entirely new vantage point.
"The whole point of a bucket list is to maximize every moment of our existence and live our life to the fullest. It’s a reminder of all the things we want to achieve in our time here, so that instead of pandering our time in pointless activities, we are directing it fully toward what matters to us," life coach Celestine Chua wrote.

The Bucket list is a list of things that are out of the box, not framed and dictated by career, health and social pressure to excel. It is doing what makes you alive and happy.

Recently, I have finished an extensive course on the German language at the Goethe Institute-Manila and I have never been more ecstatic! I've said it before, learning and being able to speak another language is the closest thing to being a superhero with a very potent, super power. You feel some sense of invincibility when you are able to communicate and neutralize language and cultural barriers. I definitely look forward to accomplishing more of the items on my bucket list!
Item #15 may be next: Kiss a random guy under the Eiffel tower who is plenty cute.

It maybe meaningless to some but its very important to me (kaya walang basagan ng trip) It felt like Djokovic doing a down the line backhand or Nadal on a running forehand passing shot. I felt like giving everyone on my way a high5! Alles! Vamos! Ich bin zufreiden!
