Title : Shutterbug Follies

The interplay of photography in comics is a gem and bubblegum noir or not, it'll simply be an excellent blog photo collection title.
Jason Little's Shutterbug Follies won as an Outstanding Online Comic Series in the 2002 Ignatz Award. The graphic novel was  also published in its entirety. Jason Little himself describes his piece as a "bubblegum noir."  Bubblegum rock is a genre from the late 60s and early 70s with an emphasis on hooks, danceable beat, and enough mention of sugar in the lyrics to cause tooth decay. I suppose in the same way Bee (the main character who is an 18 year old photographer and photo lab technician) is “bubblegum” because of the bright colors and clear cartooning, but noir because of the suspense, and flashes of darker content.
